Local-Fest
documentary film-screening and music festival featuring underground Nashville bands
local film makers, Jim Demain and Price Harrison, and local musician and community force, Joe Paige, brought an afternoon/evening of community and performance centered on a documentary of a music festival highlighting a particular segment of Nashville’s underground. The original festival took place at legendary music venue Betty’s Grill featuring a number of touring bands that had been sidelined by the pandemic shutdown and aimed to raise awareness of the plight of working musicians and independent venues in one of the world’s most recognized music scenes.

“This event had all the energy of a house show and the intentionality of an art/sound installation.”
